MEASUREMENT MODELS

Preprocessing : Phase preprocessing in a baseline-by-baseline mode using
triple differences. In most cases cycle slips are fixed
looking simultaneously at different linear combinations of
L1 and L2. If a cycle slip cannot be fixed reliably, bad
data points are removed or new ambiguities are set up. A
check of the post-fit residuals is performed. Outliers are
removed for the final processing.
Since GPS-week 1321: 3 deg cut off in pre-processing
Basic Observable : Carrier phase, code only used for receiver clock
synchronization, elevation cut-off angle of 3 degrees,
sampling rate of 30 and 180 seconds, respectively.

Ground antenna : Up to GPS-week 1399: Elevation-dependent phase center

relative to the AOAD/M_T antenna.
GPS-week 1400-1631: Absolute antenna phase centre
variations (APCV) according to epn_05.atx (regularly
updated with I05.atx from CODE) are applied, partly
including individual APCV.
GPS-week 1632-1764: Absolute antenna phase centre
variations (APCV) according to epn_08.atx (regularly
updated with I08.atx from CODE) are applied, partly
including individual APCV (from epnc_08.atx).
GPS-week 1765-1933: Missing system values (GLONASS) for
individual calibrated antenna models are filled with
values computed by adding the differences between
group values of GPS and GLONASS of the same antenna type
to the individually calibrated GPS values, if such group
values for the antenna type is available.
Since GPS week 1934: Absolute antenna phase centre
variations (APCV) according to epn_14.atx (regularly
updated with I14.atx from CODE) are applied, partly
including individual APCV (from epnc_14.atx).
Troposphere : Up to GPS-week 1129: Saastamoinen apriori model: Zenith
path delay corrections derived using
1/cos(z).
GPS-week 1130-1320: No troposphere apriori model used.
Zenith path delay corrections are
derived using DRY NIELL MF.
GPS-week 1321-1764: Saastamoinen apriori model mapped with

ESTIMATED PARAMETERS (APRIORI VALUES & SIGMAS)

Adjustment : Least-squares adjustment, mathematical correlations within
network correctly modeled. The elevation-dependent
observation weighting model adopted assumes a zero-
difference observation sigma being proportional 1/cos(z),
where z denotes the satellite zenith distance angle.
Rejection Criter.: Up to week 1320: 0.003 meters for L3 residuals.
Week 1321-1764: Daily RINEX observation files containing
less than 12 hours good observations are
ignored. The threshold value concerning
data screening is 4 mm, specifically for
a normalized, or L1 zero-difference zenith
residual.
Since week 1765: Daily RINEX observation files with short
observation time are rejected. The limit
is set to 300 "observations", which
approximately corresponds to 6h GPS/GLONASS
and 12 h GPS-data. The threshold value
concerning data screening is 5 mm,
specifically for a normalized, or L1 zero-
difference zenith residual. Stations/days
with large residuals in the combined weekly
solution are rejected from the weekly
combined solution but kept in the daily
solutions if it is not affecting other
stations.

daily sets of troposphere estimates are re-computed on the
normal equation level by substituting the 7-day combined
station coordinate results.
Since GPS-week 1400: Troposphere gradient parameters
are also solved for.
Ionospheric : Up to GPS-week 1320: Regional TEC maps are derived from the
geometry-free linear combination of double differences.
The ambiguity-free maps are used to improve the QIF
ambiguity resolution. The ambiguity-fixed TEC maps are
made available in the IONEX format.
Since GPS-week 1321: No TEC maps solved for. The CODE global
TEC maps are used instead in the ambiguity resolution.
Ambiguity : Ambiguity resolution performed by using the QIF strategy in
conjunction with global TEC information. 10 deg cut-off.
Since GPS-week 1765: Also GLONASS ambiguity resolution.
Since GPS week 2044: Also Galileo ambiguity resolution.
Since GPS-week 2074: WL/NL and L5/L3 ambiguity resolution
strategies also used.
Satellite clock : Satellite clock biases are not estimated but eliminated by
bias forming double differences.
Receiver clock : Receiver clock biases are estimated as part of the pre-
bias processing step using code measurements.
Orbits and ERPs : Up to GPS-week 1764: IGS combined final orbit and ERP
information.
GPS-week 1765-2043: CODE final orbit and ERP information.
GPS-week 2044-2077: CODE MGEX final orbit and ERP
information.

Tidal : Solid earth tidal displacements are modelled according to
displacements IERS Conventions. Ocean loading corrections are
computed based on Scherneck's amplitudes and phases.
